Music Calgary Podcast #1

Published March 25, 2006

We produce a weekly podcast dedicated to promoting musicians and music industry people in Alberta. In this premiere episode we interview R & B saxophone phenom Marvin Yakoweshen about such topics as the double sax trick, touring with Dr. Hook during the heyday, and the infamous "Danceland" tavern. We do three new song reviews as well. The intensity which pours out of Marvin's sax when he plays is just one vital component of what makes him such an important addition to the local music scene. As a person, Marvin is a knowledgeable and gentle individual who is best known for his witty humor and kind heart. It's hard to capture that essence in an audio interview but I've done my best, I hope you enjoy the podcast.
